In 2010, Vinitech, the international exhibition of equipment and services for the wines and spirits sector, merged with Sifel, the fruit and vegetable exhibition (previously held in Agen) to form a single 3-day event. Now, 1,500 equipment manufacturers from some twenty countries unveil their latest sector-specific innovations and techniques. Vinitech was already the leading showcase for the latest wine industry trends and growing techniques; teaming up with Sifel has broadened the scope of the event and boosted its international appeal.

• Vinitech brings together a comprehensive offer from manufacturers worldwide, covering all stages of wine and spirits production and marketing, from grape harvesting and production equipment to packaging machines. The Vines, Orchards and Vegetable Farming area features agricultural equipment common to both sectors, including tractors, handling, soil-working, tying, maintenance and spraying equipment, pesticides and fertilisers, crop protection products and services.
• Innovation, in the form of new equipment, new techniques and new packaging designs, is a key focus of the show, with a special Innovations  & New Products area, while the Innovation Awards single out the best products. Plus, the Oenovation Award which recognises the efforts of young entrepreneurs which have benefited the industry.
  Vinitech Sifel also offers a programme of technical visits to see the latest products and equipment in situ at some of the region’s prestigious chateaux, wine cooperatives and fruit and vegetable farms.
• The cross-sector Ideas Forum, a key component of the last session, tackles a broad range of topics from a practical and forward-looking standpoint, providing a platform for sharing knowledge, skills and experience. Participants can choose to attend large gatherings such as the Mondiaviti international colloquium, smaller-scale practical workshops or discussion forums where suppliers and users discuss the latest innovations and industry developments.
