Defence subcontracting business convention held at Bordeaux Conference Centre

European Defence Meetings (EDM), the international defence subcontracting business convention, is organised jointly by Congrès et Expositions de Bordeaux (CEB) and Business Convention International (BCI). With the support of the European Union and the municipal, departmental and regional authorities, this high-level business convention provides a unique platform for aerospace and defence prime contractors and suppliers to network, promote their innovations and foster technology transfer.

• EDM is a triple-format event consisting of a business convention with scheduled one-on-one meetings, high-level talks on key market issues (environment, defence spending, etc.) and technology workshops led by prime contractors – a varied programme giving defence contractors the opportunity to meet French and international suppliers, including many from the Aquitaine region.
• Tying in with the event, the Technologies & Perspectives competition is a springboard for innovation and technology transfer. It is open to all suppliers registered for EDM. The competition turns the spotlight on technology, equipment, services and products that represent an innovation or original improvement for the aerospace, defence, optical and laser industries.
