CHINA: AN EPIC JOURNEY - HALL 2

Don't miss this chance to see the incredible Chinese terracotta warriors of Xian!

East meets West as China showcases its rich culture, with a restaurant, bookshop, bustling Chinese market, photography exhibition, crafts workshops, martial arts demonstrations and tea tastings.

FROM THE ANCIENT DYNASTIES TO THE PRESENT DAY

China's fascinating history is brought to life in 5 different themed areas, which explore all aspects of Chinese culture from the ancient art of calligraphy and traditional musical instruments to future events such as the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai.

CHINA FROM A COMPLETELY NEW PERSPECTIVE! Sink into plush cushions and take a journey through China's Yunnan Province as images of this spectacular area are beamed overhead onto giant screens!

WEDNESDAY 7 MAY: AN EVENING OF PYROTECHNICS!

Watch the sparks fly during this spectacular evening of music and pyrotechnics courtesy of the Chinese exhibitors, which kicks off at 10.30pm. For the best views, head for Hall 1 between doors 15 and 25 (lakeside). The ‘Wheel of Death' will also take your breath away (corner of Hall 2). A perfect way to meet the exhibitors in a different light!

THE INTERNATIONAL AREA: 5 CONTINENTS AND 200 EXHIBITORS

Savour exotic sights, sounds and smells from around the world as the 200 exhibitors in the Fair's International Area treat you to a true feast for the senses: from Benin to Colombia, Egypt, Ecuador, Gabon, India, Indonesia, Italy, Madagascar, Martinique, Peru, Poland, Russia, Senegal, South Korea, Spain, Tahiti, Thailand, Tunisia and Vietnam.

HUNDREDS OF WAYS TO TREAT YOURSELF

Arts and Crafts Exhibition:

 

More than 80 artists will be showing off their creative talents in this exhibition space organised in association with the Gironde regional Chamber of Commerce for Trades, Arts and Crafts: a treasure trove of paintings, fashion, table design, woodwork, glassware, wrought iron, mosaics and jewellery!

Viva: THE PERFORMING ARTS FESTIVAL

MORE THAN 300 PERFORMERS AND 100 HOURS OF ENTERTAINMENT!

Once again the Viva artistes will be thrilling visitors with their stunning live performances. Wander through the ‘Viva Village' covered walkway (between Halls 1 and 2) and stop to watch the street theatre!
