CEB (Congrès et Expositions de Bordeaux) is a 1901 Association of recognised public benefit that regroups 350 members from the region's economy, the CEB is authorised to fulfil missions of public interest.
1296 : The first Free Fair of Bordeaux took place under English domination (following the edict by King Philippe Le Bel of France ). They continued regularly in Bordeaux until the 20th century, originally on Place du Palais and then Place de la Bourse.
1916 : Creation of modern fairs. The Paris , Lyon and Bordeaux fairs were created at the same time. This is also the year of the creation of CEB, a 1901 Association that was recognised to be of public benefit in 1922.
The fair took place on the Quinconces until 1968, the following year the fair moved to the banks of Bordeaux Lac.
In 2000, the CEB became administrator of Hangar 14 exhibition place and the Palais des Congrès, through its filial Bordeaux - Évènements - Congrès (BEC) after wining the tender for the management of these sites. |
